I am Chris Lawrence, a 23 year old student, musician and freelance web developer from Newcastle, Australia. These are my internet things.

I’m a big nerd who loves making websites. You can see some examples below. I’m currently seeking client work so get in touch if you are interested. I have played in a bunch of bands, and I’ve just recently started doing music by myself, there will be an album coming out pretty soon.

When I’m not studying or playing music I am around the internet a lot. Head to the bottom to see what else I do.

I also love movies, running and dogs, and I’m currently enjoying a rennaisance of Rugby League and video games.

Web Design

  • Long Island Sound

    Scope: Design/Development

    Technologies: Jekyll, HTML5, CSS3, HTML5 Audio

Making this website for my band was my first foray into single page websites. Band websites are usually filled with so much unneeded junk and Flash animations, I wanted to present only the bare minimum.

  • Lake Cinema

    Scope: Design/Development

Technologies: Ruby on Rails, HTML5, CSS3, Jquery

I worked for this cinema for 6 years. A few years into my job the owner gave me the opportunity to take over the website. It was the first major project I had worked on and was (admittedly) quite poor to begin with, but I continued to develop it. Every few years I have reapplied my skills to build the site from scratch.

  • Pedalrotica

    Scope: Design/Development

    Technologies: Ruby on Rails

This was a project I worked on that was based on a Facebook group a friend made. I based it on Daniel Bogan's Uses This, but eventually made my own custom CMS with a homemade submit form.

  • UNEMSA

    Scope: Design

    Technologies: Squarespace

While I used to do a lot with Squarespace, this is probably the last remaining site. It was a pretty big redesign and my first time working for a large group.
